LETTERS W, G, Y, U, Q and M. Something arabesque, tribal, nautical (because it reminds me of corals and starfishes), geometric, lace, and arabesque (again) this time. I’ve been using sans serif fonts mostly Century Gothic for the patterns. I like the no fuss, no dramatic accents of sans serifs - modern and minimal. I use geometric sans-serif fonts a lot for their very clean look and feel.
This pattern making frenzy started around last year when I wanted to use a particular pattern for an illustration but couldn’t find it online. What else is there left to do but make it myself? But it’s the first time I’m using letters as elements. It’s quite a fun challenge.
