I finally found time to finish a couple of drawings that have been left untouched for quite a while on my moleskine. My prehistoric Nokia phone finally died on me so I decided to get an iPhone. I can finally take decent photos of sketches and drawings (yes!). And because most of my friends are on instagram, I created an account for it too! You can follow my instagram account (melizzaaratan) for more progress shots and random sketches. :)

So, onto what the drawings are all about!

I ran out of ink before I was able to finish the first two. That and it also took a while before I got another bottle. The first one is actually the base drawing for Maenades. Since I wasn’t able to complete the face at that time, I decided to finish the illustration digitally. You’ve seen the third one here and here. And the fourth I found myself doing after watching an episode of Once Upon a Time.

Also, I’m joining two design contests this month which is why I haven’t posted anything nor is there progress on my Experimenting with Type thread. I promise to make up for it really soon. I’m just finalising my contest pieces and then this blog will be back to it’s normal programming. :)
